Mountain Ranch Community Hall Use Information

 

The Mountain Ranch Community Hall has been built, improved, and maintained by the Mountain Ranch Community Club through volunteer labor, fundraisers and donations since 1933.  We receive no tax support but we pay utilities, county fees, insurance, etc. Donations from users and others are accepted and appreciated. Thank you. When not needed for government or charitable functions, the Mountain Ranch Community Hall is available for use by responsible people and organizations.  We have an assembly hall, a kitchen/dining room, and bathroom facilities. The capacities are:

Mountain Ranch Community Hall User Instructions

Cleanup Requirements

 

Please appoint a cleanup Chairman and committee who are instructed in all of the cleanup procedures. The next user will expect to find the hall in a clean and usable condition.  Cleanup/damage deposit will be returned when cleaning is adequate and keys are returned.

 

Please furnish your own CLOTH TOWELS and PAPER TOWELS

 

·        Brooms, mops and bucket are located in closet on the porch; key is hanging on a nail on the kitchen cupboard by the door.

·        Cleaning supplies and garbage bags are provided.

·        Mop both Hall floors (if needed) with a damp mop.  Add vinegar to the water. Change when dirty.

·        Store wet mops with the heads up.

·        One garbage can and blue RECYCLE can may be used. User will dispose of remainder.                                                                                                                                    Bathroom floor and toilets must be cleaned and paper products replaced.

·        Tables should be wiped down and stored properly.

·         Please do not mix chairs. Padded chairs go on the rack in the main hall. The all-metal chairs are stored in the closet in the dining room.

·        Use hot pads or boards when using hot food on tables, otherwise they will warp.

·        Do not empty mop bucket, ice bucket or coffee grounds into the Memorial Garden. The mop bucket can be dumped at entrance between the White Notice Board and the pipe railing.

·        Be sure that refrigerator and freezer doors are tightly closed before leaving.

 

Electricity instructions

 

Electricity for the lights in the building can be turned on at the panel inside the Main Hall by the double doors. Electricity for the outlets in the building can be turned on at the panel inside by the kitchen door. When using wall outlets, only one appliance can be plugged in per color code.

 

Heating instructions

 

Propane heat is available by arrangement with the Hall Manager.  If User wishes to use the wood stove, he must supply his own wood.

Water instructions

 

Water will automatically go on when the electric panel box in the kitchen is in the on position.

            Water will go off when the panel is turned off. Note that water “ON” is needed for toilets to flush.

 

       User is requested to leave the hall clean and in good condition. If left dirty, user will be notified

within 3 days to re-clean or deposit will be forfeited. Damage to the Hall or equipment must be reported so charges for damages can be levied or repair arranged. Please turn both electric panel boxes to “OFF” position before leaving.

 

A phone for emergency use only is in the kitchen. A payphone is located between Mountain Ranch Realty & Candle Shop on Garabaldi Rd.  Cell phones usually don’t work in the area.

Agreement & Application for Community Hall Use

 

 

Undersigned will agree to pay the Mountain Ranch Community Club a refundable Cleaning/Damage deposit of $150 (local check only) two weeks or as soon as possible before reserved date of use.  Deposit will be returned when the hall is left clean and  Hall Key is returned.

 

Donations for Your Hall Reservation is appreciated and can be discussed  with the Hall Manager.  A local check or money order may be used for all donations & charges.

 

Propane Heat, if needed, is an additional$___.  

Instructions for the propane heaters are posted above the heater controls in both halls.

Please provide own wood if you prefer to use the wood stoves.

 

A Public Address System is available and requires a separate agreement, $25, and a damage deposit. The User must provide someone knowledgeable in its use.  

 

We ask that you follow the Mountain Ranch Community Hall User Instructions as they may apply to you.

                                                                                                                                      

Keys may be picked up at Mountain Ranch Realty on Garabaldi St. in

Mountain Ranch between 9 AM and 3 PM on the day of use or call ahead for appointment, 754-3030.  The Realty office is usually closed on Sundays

 

Call me, 754-3594 to set up a day to review the Hall closer to your reserved date.

 

Hall chairperson has 3 days to inspect the hall before returning deposit.
