Mountain Ranch Community Park

Park.JPG

In 1977 Mountain Ranch Community Club, Calaveras County and Calaveras United School District agreed to build a park on land owned by the school district.  The Community Club [s responsible for the building, improvement, maintenance and insurance for the park.  No taxpayer money has been used for the regular maintenance of the park, although the county has aided in securing grants for various building projects.  This has proven to be a very satisfactory partnership.  There has never been a charge to anyone for any use of the park.  Various fund raisers such as the annual barn sale, and Day in the Park have provided the needed funds.  Also donations are accepted and appreciated.  Thank you Mountain Ranch Citizens and others for making it a park for which the whole community can be proud.

We want to make everyone in the Mountain Ranch area aware of our own beautiful community park. The people of Mountain Ranch have spent hundreds upon hundreds of hours building the baseball field, patio area, picnic tables, BBQ pits, concession stand, public toilets, fencing, horseshoe pits, well and water system, playground equipment, block storage building, a riding mower, kitchen cabinets, announcing stand, the Carl Howard Memorial drinking fountain, playground updating, scorekeepers tables, a public address system and the Charlie Miller Memorial Flag Pole. The Blue Ribbon Mine Monument, concrete dugouts, new tables, drinking fountain, a Cannon Monument Memorial for Morgan Keaton, the Steve Newton Drinking Fountain and the Freda Deadmond Plaque. The people of Mountain Ranch area, through donations and fund raisers, have provided funds to support our park. The Park committee appreciates all the help it receives. This is your park, to be enjoyed by everyone. If you wish to send in a contribution, please send it to:
